Before you dive into one of the links below, just a word of caution. The fact that a treatment is being tested does not mean that it will be available next week. It takes many years to get a drug from discovery to common use, and most of the information from trials is only of technical interest.

Note that any trial where the numbers involved are small should be regarded with particular scepticism as luck may play a considerable part in the results. Trials described as 'double-blind' are generally considered more reliable than others, and those on a large scale involving multiple centres are also good. Please remember that most trials are funded by drug companies, and what appears to be fact may only be a part of the story.
